If you don't have any formal pictures plan to have at least one taken. Russian women are European in their expectations. A formal picture of you can really make an impression on your future Russian bride.. The rest of the pictures should be informal, pictures of you where you live, with the kids (if you have any), pictures of you with the dog, etc. They are looking to see how they will fit into your world, what place they will take. Don't send pictures of you with your ex, your sister, or your current girlfriend (but you knew that, right?)  

Your introductory letter - remember it will be translated. Take a minute to read my page on "noise". You must write simply. Don' use complicated sentences. Why? Because simple declarative sentences require me (and you) to speak plainly, with no room for ambiguity. So write about your dog, your car, your job, your kids, where you live and what place a woman might have in your life now. Write why you think you are or would be a good father, and would make a good husband. And write about the lady herself, what you see in the picture, if you think she is beautiful. One of our three translators will translate your letter into Russian, and notify the lady that your letter has arrived. She comes to the office and picks up the translated letter (written on the printed English original).Your woman will respond to your letter within a few days. Most will write a return letter at home and bring it back to the office for help with the translation of their letter, from Russian to English. All of our translators are professional translators and endeavor to keep as much of the feel of your original letter as possible. If the information is clear but the lady's word choice and grammar are unusual, will allow it to go, to give you a feel of her real expression. Some of the ladies may send you a message declining your invitation to write, or ask us to tell you. They may be in exclusive correspondence, or just not feel a connection to you.

Will every girl reject you? Unlikely. Will every girl fall in love with you? Equally unlikely. Natalia will work with you to discover other real women in our agency with whom you might fit.
